1) Demonstration, discussion, notes over posting a picture to a blog

CLASS ACTIVITIES:
2) Finish your House drawing.
3) Save picture as a png file
4) Make new post: title it --> MY HOUSE
5) Upload myhouse.png file to your blog post
6) Post house drawing to your blog by the end of the period today
ALL HOUSES DUE TODAY - POSTED TO YOUR BLOG.

  • Be sure to read over it so you know what I will be looking for.

WARM-UP:
1) GET BIG SPIRAL TEXTBOOK
2) go to www.freerice.com (we are going to work on a different section of free rice today)
* Click on Subjects (at the very top of the window)
* Scroll down to English
* Click on English Grammar
* Spend 10 working on the English Grammar
* At the end of 10 minutes, open your Grains of Rice donation spreadsheet
* Record the number of grains of rice you donated today.

CLASS ACTIVITIES:
3) Complete all work assigned yesterday.
* Make sure you have your definitions posted.
* Make sure you complete the exercises I assgined Monday, October 20.
* Please see post on Monday, October 20 for specific exercises to be completed.

WARM-UP:
1) GET BIG SPIRAL TEXTBOOK
2) go to www.freerice.com (we are going to work on a different section of free rice today)

* Scroll down to English
* Click on English Grammar
* Spend 10 working on the English Grammar

CLASS ACTIVITIES:
3) Turn to page 138
4) In a new blog post, titled: LESSON 5 CUSTOMIZING WORD
* type the key terms located on page 138, and type the definition of the key term in the body of your blog post
* Be sure to number the definitions and bold the key terms (there is only 5 of them)
5) After you post your Lesson 5 Customizing Word terms to your blog, you need to begin working on Lesson 5 Exercises. Complete the following exercises. These exercises are strictly teaching exercise. So you should be able to complete by the end of the period, easily.

* pg. 142, Exercise 1B (nothing to save, nothing to print)
* pg. 142-144, Exerice 1C (nothing to save, nothing to print)
* pg. 145, Exercise 2A (nothing to save, nothing to print)
* pg. 146, Exercise 2B (nothing to save, nothing to print)
* pg. 147-128, Exercise 2C (nothing to save, nothing to print)

Once you are done with all the work above, you are finished with the chapter and can have spare time.
